 Giraffe Childcare & Early Learning Centres are registered for the ECCE Government Pre School Scheme which will provide a free pre-school year for children in the year before they start primary school.
The scheme will commence on 1st January 2010 and all children, who are aged between 3 yrs 7months and 4 yrs 10 months on 1 January 2010 will be eligible.

The Early Childhood Care & Education Scheme (ECCE) provides one year "free" Pre-school education to every child in Ireland aged between 3 years 2 months and 4 years 6 months on 1st September each year.

In order to deliver our Programme we place great emphasis on the quality of the staff who, work with your children. As a company we invest heavily in staff development and training to ensure that our service and delivery levels exceed Government curriculum guidelines.
Our staff, are special people who care, nurture and encourage your special little people to help them gain a sense of achievement and pride in this all-important Preschool year as they develop the necessary skills to enable their smooth integration into mainstream school.
How it works
Parents will be able to avail of this ECCE scheme for their children on a 50 week or a 38 week per year basis.
Under the 50 week scheme the government will contribute €48.50 per week for 50 weeks. This covers the cost of 2 hours 15 minutes childcare per day for 5 days per week or 3 hours 45 minutes per day for 3 days per week to children who register and qualify for the scheme.
Under the 38 week scheme the government will contribute €64.50 for 3 hours per day for 5 days per week to children who are registered and qualify.
