Parent Communication ECCE & AfterSchool

Dear Parents,

As you are aware, the reintroduction of full Level 5 Covid-19 restrictions was announced by Government on 30 December, including the extension of the Christmas holidays for school age children and ECCE provision until 11 January 2021.

In line with this update advice, our ECCE and Afterschool Services will remain closed until Monday 11 January 2021.

We believe that is the right step to take for the health and safety of our staff and families and we thank you for your continued understanding and patience as the Covid-19 position evolves.  We will continue to monitor the situation and will be in touch in the coming days, pending further Government guidance.

Our centre remains open for full day care children in line with Government guidelines as this has been deemed an essential service supporting parents to go to work.
We appreciate and thank you for your co-operation and we ask that you work in partnership with us to reopen safely on 4 January.

We will continue to maintain our high hygiene and operating standards to ensure that our creches remain safe for all our families, their children and our staff teams.   Once again, we ask that you act responsibly and notify us immediately if you or any family member have tested positive, are taking a Covid-19 test or are a close contact.  We also ask that your child does not attend crèche if a close family member has signs or symptoms of Covid-19 or is a direct contact.  Please do not come to creche, even just to drop off, as this can place our centre teams and other families at risk. Instead, please stay at home and book a test. It is our shared responsibility to ensure that we all remain safe and minimise the spread of Covid-19.

Please also advise us if you or a member of the household has travelled abroad in the past 14 days and complete a travel and health declaration in advance of your child’s return to creche which is accessible from here: travel declaration form for parents. Also, attached is a Self Assessment form to keep in mind when considering your child’s attendance to creche.

Speak to your Centre Manager directly for further advice.

We will continue to monitor the situation and will keep you informed  as we have been advised that the Government will issue further guidance prior to 11 January 2021.

Please, as ever, continue to be vigilant and keep safe and well.

Kind Regards
Dearbhala Cox Giffin

Operations Director
