Giraffe Childcare is delighted to announce the opening of their brand-new centre located in the heart of Rathgar, Dublin 6. This new centre will care for young children aged 12 months to 5 years old, open Monday to Friday.
The crèche will have spacious rooms, all brightly decorated and arranged to offer each child the chance to explore and investigate their environment, to enable them to learn the skills that they need to develop to become confident, happy learners offering a broad curriculum underpinned by Aistear and Siolta frameworks with a range of opportunities for children to explore and learn through play. All the rooms have easy access to our lovely secure outdoor play area for the children to enjoy all year round.
We are very excited to be able to support the wonderful families of Rathgar and its surrounding areas such as Rathfarnham, Milltown and Dundrum.
Giraffe Childcare has been voted mums and tots winners 7 years in a row as voted for by our parents and has over 20 years of experience creating a warm, homely feeling across all our centres.

Having started her Childcare Career with Giraffe Childcare in 2017 Ellen Smyth our centre Manager at Giraffe Rathgar is very passionate about what she does. Ellen began her career whilst taking part in Giraffe Childcares work placement programme. In 2020 she was promoted to the role of Deputy Manager..
I have now been with Giraffe just over 3 years. During my time I have learnt a lot from my mentors. I am delighted to support and assist the children and their families in our beautiful new centre – Giraffe Rathgar.
