I used to have two children in Giraffe but once my older child was starting school I needed to move both of my children to alternative childcare. The new crèche is very nice but it only since we moved that I realise just how wonderful a job that the staff in Giraffe Leopardstown did.

We had such a lovely start with Giraffe as we left our babies in Clare’s capable hands. Clare was fantastic helping to settle them into crèche life and giving me lots of advice. The Centre management were so hands on circulating the rooms and passing messages to staff to keep everyone updated. Both Marta and Sarah were so approachable and the fact that they greeted you in the morning with such warmth was very encouraging to chat to them about anything. When I asked them for flexibility they were always great in working with me on a solution and the fact that the crèche was run in such an organised way – made coming and going so easy.

On the day we were leaving the crèche we said an emotional goodbye to Rachel and my son continues to refer to Giraffe as Rachel’s crèche – months after he finished in Giraffe he says “I want to go to Rachel’s crèche” – I think that’s a testament to Rachel and how well she takes the children under her wing.
