Many of our centre management team and Area Support Directors begun their career with Giraffe Childcare as childcare practitioners. Although many have been promoted into management roles, they are very much Childcare Practitioners are heart. Being my Best – Giraffe Training Academy
At our Giraffe Training Academy, we have a robust training programmes for all which includes personal development courses, core skills on the job training programmes, supervisors, management and mentoring to provide you with the skill set to reach your goals. Some of these courses can be taken online through our virtual learning platform.
The Ethos of “Being my Best” is one of the core foundations of Giraffe. It provides an opportunity for staff to openly share their professional career goals with their centre management team and assist our teams the opportunity to grow and develop with us. We are passionate about childcare and seek likeminded passionate childcare practitioners who love what they do. We provide a fun, happy, and safe environment for children to play, learn & thrive. We continuously, invest in resources and training for our staff to ensure that they have the most up to date knowledge and experience in areas such as behaviour management, child development and development of curriculum.
We run an induction programme to ensure all staff learn about the Giraffe approach, know all our policies and procedures and are ready to nurture, love and care for all the children. New recruits choose us because we invest in our teams and offer opportunities for career progression and ongoing training and development.
We know it’s our people that make us great, so we make sure we reward and recognise our teams.
